We are delighted to present an excellent opportunity for a skilled and discreet Live-in Housekeeper Cook to join a refined private household based in Mayfair, London. This is a full-time, live-in position within a beautifully maintained secondary residence, offering a unique working environment with periods of quieter routine when the Principals are not in residence.

The successful Live-in Housekeeper Cook will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation throughout the home, while also providing light cooking duties when required. This role is ideally suited to a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who can work independently and take full ownership of the household’s day-to-day upkeep.

Housekeeping duties will include the thorough cleaning and care of all living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal spaces. You will ensure that the residence is always maintained to an immaculate standard, with careful attention given to dusting, polishing, and the upkeep of fine furnishings, antiques, and delicate surfaces. The Live-in Housekeeper Cook will also manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring all items are well-stocked and maintained.

Laundry and wardrobe management will form a key part of the role. This includes washing, ironing, folding, and organising clothing and linens to a high standard, as well as caring for delicate and designer garments in accordance with specific instructions. Maintaining an orderly and well-presented wardrobe will be essential, ensuring all items are prepared and ready for the Principals’ visits.

In addition to housekeeping responsibilities, the Live-in Housekeeper Cook will prepare simple, well-presented meals for the Principals when in residence. While cooking duties are relatively infrequent due to the nature of the property as a secondary home, the ability to shop for groceries and deliver fresh, nutritious meals is required.

The property is occupied approximately three to four times per year, meaning the role offers a balanced structure with periods of independent working. During these times, the Live-in Housekeeper Cook will ensure the property remains in pristine condition and fully prepared for the Principals’ arrival at any time. You will also liaise with any additional household staff or external service providers to support the smooth running of the residence.

This is a full-time role of 50 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. Flexibility is required when the Principals are in residence, including occasional evenings or weekends, for which notice will be provided. The position is offered on a live-in basis, with accommodation provided within the property.

Candidates must have prior experience working as a Live-in Housekeeper Cook within a private household or high-end environment. A strong understanding of professional cleaning standards, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work autonomously are essential. You should also possess strong communication skills, a positive and professional attitude, and a high level of discretion.
