Job Overview
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeper to join a household in Pylle, Shepton Mallett. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the residence and managing laundry and wardrobe care. This is a full-time, live-out position requiring flexibility and attention to detail.
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including but not limited to cleaning and tidying all living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas,
- Dusting, polishing, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organisation of the residence,
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are stocked and well-maintained,
- Handle delicate items and antiques with care,
- Manage all laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and organising clothes and linens,
- Handle delicate and designer clothing with the utmost care, following specific instructions for each garment,
- Maintain the wardrobe inventory, ensuring clothes are arranged neatly and ready for use,
- Coordinate with other household staff to ensure smooth operations.
Role Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Luxury Housekeeper in a similar high-end or private household,
- Excellent knowledge of various cleaning techniques and high standards of cleanliness,
- Familiarity with household appliances and equipment,
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in managing household tasks,
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills,
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written,
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends when the family is in residence,
- We are looking for candidates who reside within a 40-minute commute and have their own vehicle.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of luxury housekeeping, either within a 5* establishment or private household.
