We are delighted to present a wonderful opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented Luxury Housekeeper to join a warm and dynamic young family based near Zurich, Switzerland. This is an exceptional position within a beautifully run private household, ideally suited to a candidate who takes genuine pride in delivering the highest standards of housekeeping, laundry care, and wardrobe management.
The successful Luxury Housekeeper will play a key role in maintaining the presentation, organisation, and day-to-day running of two private family properties located near Zurich. This role requires a highly meticulous and service-driven individual with a strong appreciation for luxury clothing, fine materials, and the careful handling of high-value household items.
A major focus of the position will be expert laundry and wardrobe care. You will be responsible for washing delicate and exclusive garments, as well as bed linen, kitchen linen, and towels, always ensuring the correct use of detergents, fabric care methods, and specialist cleaning products according to garment and material specifications. The Luxury Housekeeper will also undertake ironing, steaming, and minor sewing repairs, ensuring that all clothing and household textiles are maintained to an exceptional standard.
Wardrobe management and inventory control will form an important part of the role. You will be expected to organise garments with precision, maintain order across wardrobes and storage spaces, and ensure that all items remain in perfect condition. In addition, the Luxury Housekeeper will support travel preparations, including preparing, packing, and following up on suitcases before and after trips.
Alongside wardrobe and laundry care, the role will involve carrying out high-level cleaning duties throughout both family homes. This includes maintaining immaculate standards across living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas, always with great attention to detail and respect for luxury finishes, furnishings, and materials.
The ideal candidate will be a strong team player who enjoys working within a supportive household environment. Flexibility is essential, as the family has two residences near Zurich, and the role may involve working across both locations. These properties are accessible by rail or car, and transport can be provided to and from local stations for candidates who do not drive.
We are seeking a Luxury Housekeeper with a proactive attitude, exceptional service mentality, and a genuine enjoyment of working with high-quality products and materials. Discretion, loyalty, and the ability to integrate seamlessly into a private family environment are essential. Previous experience within the luxury hotel sector or a private household is highly desirable, and outstanding references will be required.
